Checkatrade Let Us Down

We were completely reliant on Checkatrade to find us a trustworthy tradesperson for our renovation project. We joined and advertised our read more needs, but unfortunately, we were left high and dry.

  • The scattered quotes we did receive were unrealistic.
  • To make matters even worse, their customer service was non-existent.

We are very disappointed with Checkatrade and would recommend against using their platform. There are much better alternatives out there. We regret having wasted our money on this ineffective service.

After/Upon/Following hiring a plumber/electrician/carpenter from their platform, we ended up with a shoddy/subpar/messy job that cost us a fortune/ dearly/ an arm and a leg. Checkatrade's response/customer service/support has been dismissive/useless/unhelpful, leaving us feeling frustrated/angry/betrayed.

It's clear to us that Checkatrade puts the emphasis on their own profits over the well-being/satisfaction/rights of customers. We demand/request/urge fair compensation/justice/accountability for this injustice/wrongdoing/terrible experience.

Think twice before you trust Checkatrade. Their whole setup is designed to leave you stranded. They promise the world but they deliver nothing. You'll be left in a pickle and nobody at Checkatrade will bat an eyelid.

It all starts with their sneaky costs, which they hide in the small stuff. Then, there's the terrible support that's about as useful as a chocolate teapot. You can try to raise an issue, but it's like talking to a wall.

So, steer well clear of Checkatrade if you value your money.

Did Checkatrade Rip Us Off?

We thought we were doing the right move by using Checkatrade to find a reputable plumber/electrician/contractor. After all, they seemed so reliable with their vetted traders. Boy, were we wrong! Our experience was nothing short of a disaster.

Right away, the communication from the "qualified" trader was lackluster/awful/terrible. He was unprofessional/rude/disrespectful and provided a quote that was outrageous/ridiculous/way too high. We tried to resolve the issues, but he was adamant/unwilling/stubborn to compromise/negotiate/change.

In the end, we ended up payinga huge sum/an exorbitant amount/ way more than it should have been by this so-called "vetted" trader. Checkatrade's customer service was equally useless/incompetent/unhelpful. They offered us a pathetic excuse/blamed the trader/did nothing.

We're left feeling frustrated and suggest looking elsewhere for your tradesman needs.

They Paid, But Never Saw the Project: Checkatrade Disaster.

My experience with Checkatrade was a complete shambles. I engaged a trader through their platform to complete some vital home repairs. They appeared legitimate at first, but it ended up a horrendous ordeal.

Although I sent the full amount upfront, the work was never done. Getting a response ceased. It's been months, and I'm still left with unfinished repairs.

Their customer service has been unhelpful throughout this whole process. They offered no solutions. It feels like I've been taken advantage of.
